Job description
Caregiver PositionWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, residential care homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents and clients, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and support.Duties:Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility supportProvide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following proper protocolsSupport residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's through engagement and behavioral management techniquesMonitor vital signs and report any health concerns to medical professionals or supervisorsOperate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfersPrepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs and preferencesMaintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitationSupport residents with mobility using standard passenger cars or transportation services when necessaryCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized care plans are followedFollow safety protocols including first aid procedures and safe patient lifting practices in emergency situationsRequirements:Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, residential care homes, or home & community care is preferredKnowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, geriatrics, developmental disabilities, or cognitive impairments is highly desirableCertification in CPR and First Aid is required or must be obtained upon hireAbility to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; experience with Hoyer lifts is a plusStrong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaborationValid driver's license for standard passenger car operation preferredAbility to work flexible hours including shifts that may involve long periods of standing or walkingCompassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care for all residents and clientsMust be capable of working independently as well as part of a team in diverse care environmentsJoin our team to provide essential support that enhances the well-being of those we serve.
