StoryPoint Forest Hills CaregiverBenefits:Competitive compensation, including medical (BCBS), dental, vision and an HSAContinued growth and education from training, supportive leadership, and collaborationGenerous PTOUp to $1,500 in tuition reimbursementWages On-Demand – early access before pay dayMed Tech training offered onsite!Overview:Location: 730 Forest Hill Avenue SEPosition: CaregiverShift: 7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7APart-Time and Full-TimePay: $ (pending experience, licensures, and med tech training)Shift differential: $0.75/hr for second shift and $1.00/hr for third shiftBenefits:Wages On-Demand – early access before pay dayFull benefits and PTO provided for full time employeesSupplemental Schedule:Holiday payFlexible schedulingPosition Summary:As a Caregiver you are responsible for providing caring and personalized assistance for residents living in our community.Required Experience for Caregiver:High School Diploma or GED preferredPrevious healthcare, geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferredCertified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) Certification preferredAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formOccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsAccountabilities for Caregiver:Timely & accountable attendance: Upholding to work schedules, being ready to start work on time, remaining on the job for the whole duration of shift and limited use of time off1440 care for residents: Understanding and leading our 1440 care standards so you and your team ensure that each resident and each family has their needs metCommunicate resident changes immediately: Providing timely and detailed information to your Wellness Leader regarding any changes to a resident's needs or careResponsible communication with families: Communicating messages tactfully and timely with resident's families and ensuring the message has been received and correctly understoodBuild strong community relationships: With wellness and community peers, with families, residents and LeadersResponsibilities for Caregiver:Actively supports our culture – our pillars and 1440Completion of daily/weekly tasks as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator, as well as assisting others routinely with their assignments if neededWill provide compassionate and competent care for residents by performing the following services:Bathing, showering and grooming assistanceAssist residents with diningProvides wheelchair and walking escortsProvides toileting and light incontinence care assistanceAssistance with morning and bedtime routinesPerforms light upkeep of resident roomsAnswers resident call signalsMedication assistance, personal care/ medication administration, Assisted Living, Memory CareCompletes and documents appropriate records, including pertinent information entered into log bookWorks scheduled shift but also provides flexibility and is open to helping other shifts if neededMaintains knowledge of all safety and emergency proceduresIs knowledgeable of and abides by all company policies and proceduresCommunicates any concerns regarding resident care, treatment, or changes in behavior to the appropriate personAttends community staff meetings, in-service programs, safety courses, and other required meetingsStays up to date and knowledgeable of all departmental communicationGeneral Working Conditions:This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may frequently bend, reach, grasp, and climb. The employee may need to squat and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
