Job description

CarpenterThis role focuses on constructing and installing wood and metal building components in alignment with blueprints and project specifications. You will perform both rough and finish carpentry on a variety of structures, including post-frame and agricultural buildings, while ensuring work meets quality standards and safety requirements across multiple job sites.ResponsibilitiesConstruct and install wood and metal building components according to blueprints and project specifications.Perform rough carpentry, including wall framing, roof systems, floor systems, trusses, and structural assemblies.Assist with post-frame and agricultural building construction from framing through completion.Install siding, soffit, fascia, trim, doors, windows, and other exterior building components with a high level of accuracy and finish quality.Read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and layout requirements to complete tasks correctly the first time.Install blocking, sheathing, decking, and finish materials according to project specifications and building codes.Build and dismantle concrete forms as needed to support foundation and structural work.Operate power tools, hand tools, lifts, telehandlers, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.Collaborate with project managers and foremen to keep projects on schedule and ensure work meets established quality standards.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.Travel to various project sites throughout Southern Minnesota and surrounding areas as required.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of carpentry or construction experience.Demonstrated carpentry skills in rough carpentry, framing, and finish carpentry.Ability to read tape measures and construction plans accurately.Proficiency using hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.Strong understanding of construction methods and building practices.Ability to perform drywall and related construction tasks as needed.Capability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.Ability to lift 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.Strong attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and commitment to quality workmanship.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with post-frame and agricultural building construction.Familiarity with installing siding, soffit, fascia, trim, doors, and windows.Experience building and dismantling concrete forms.Comfort operating lifts, telehandlers, and other construction equipment.Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, foremen, and crew members.Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to travel to multiple project locations.Why Work Here?You will join a construction team that values craftsmanship, safety, and reliability while providing exposure to a variety of building types and project scopes. The work is physically demanding and includes lifting 50-75 pounds regularly, climbing, standing for extended periods, and moving materials around the job site. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with a focus on maintaining a professional appearance and appropriate construction-site attire.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albert Lea, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
