Under new ownership, we are embracing an exciting new chapter rooted in thoughtful renewal, authentic elegance, and exceptional guest service.The RoleChetola Resort is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our Maintenance & Engineering team. This individual will play a key role in preserving the beauty, safety, and craftsmanship of our historic property through expert woodworking, repair, and renovation work. The ideal candidate takes pride in their trade, demonstrates a high standard of workmanship, and thrives in a collaborative hospitality environment where every project contributes to the guest experience.What You'll DoCarpentry & Maintenance ResponsibilitiesPerform a wide range of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, cabinetry, trim, and wood repair across the Lodge, condominiums, and resort facilities.Build, install, and repair doors, windows, molding, furniture, and fixturesMaintain exterior structures such as decks, railings, and siding to ensure safety and aesthetic appealConduct preventive maintenance and timely repairs on woodwork and structural elementsCollaborate with Maintenance Engineers and Housekeeping to address guest and operational repair needsInspect completed work to ensure quality standards and compliance with resort specificationsMaintain clean, organized work areas and proper care of tools and materialsTeam & Project SupportWork independently, while staying in close communication with team leadsProvide hands-on support for special projects, including seasonal décor, resort upgrades, and event installationsCommunicate effectively with team members, contractors, and other departmentsUphold safety and cleanliness standards in all work environmentsOffer assistance across departments when urgent maintenance needs ariseAbout YouA dependable and skilled tradesperson with a strong sense of craftsmanship and pride in detailAdaptable and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficientlyProfessional and courteous when interacting with guests and colleaguesComfortable working independently or as part of a teamDedicated to maintaining a safe, functional, and beautiful environment for guests and staff alikeRequirementsProven experience as a Carpenter, Finish Carpenter, or in a related skilled tradeProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specificationsBasic understanding of building codes and safety regulationsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environmentAvailability to work occasional weekends or holidays as business needs requireValid driver's license requiredWhy ChetolaJoin a passionate team shaping the next chapter of a beloved mountain resortOpportunity to work in a scenic and supportive environmentBe part of a culture rooted in craftsmanship, service, and careCompetitive payComprehensive benefits offered to full-time eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits as well as PTO, and on-property perks (discounts at Timberlake's, the Spa, and recreation programs)Chetola Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
