Job description
CarpenterWe are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience in commercial construction and tenant improvement (TI) fit-outs. Under the direction of the Project Manager, this role is responsible for installing and repairing structural elements including framing, drywall, windows, doors, and finish carpentry components. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with wood, metal, drywall, and other building materials and can interpret blueprints to deliver high-quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities:Perform carpentry work including constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing structures using drywall, wood, metal studs, plywood, and wallboardInstall windows, doors, framing systems, drywall, and molding in commercial tenant improvement projectsMeasure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications to determine layout and material requirementsAssemble and install frameworks, partitions, and supports using proper carpentry techniquesBuild and repair cabinets, floors, doors, and other structural or finish componentsRemove and replace damaged materials or structural elements as neededEnsure all work complies with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe job siteCollaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and team membersPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent experience in construction or carpentryMinimum of 5+ years of carpentry or construction experience (commercial construction preferred)Strong knowledge of tenant improvement (TI) projects, framing, drywall installation, and finish carpentryAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsFamiliarity with local and state building codes and safety regulationsAbility to operate power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment safelyStrong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to exercise sound judgment and follow established construction practicesOSHA certification is a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
