Job description
Commercial CarpenterMacBracey Corporation is seeking a full time commercial carpenter. The carpenter will be responsible for a full range of carpentry including but not limited to demolition, framing, drywall hanging and finishing, doors and frames, acoustic tile ceilings, and painting. The Carpenter will be required to work with the project Superintendent to assist in building and remodeling various types of spaces while following building and safety codes.MacBracey typically works in a 1-1.5 hour radius of our office located in Washington. Daily travel to sites is required, but no overnight travel is required.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in framing of walls using both metal and wood studsInstallation, finishing, and sanding of drywall to prepare for paintingInstall structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power toolsPerform flooring tasks including but not limited to installation of vinyl cove base and VCT flooringDemolition / Breakdown of existing structures (drywall, studs, flooring, electric, plumbing, etc.)Able to accurately comply with the instructions and requests provided by the Project SuperintendentRequired SkillsFramingDrywall - Hang & FinishPaintingHollow Metal Doors and Frames/Door HardwareAcoustic Tile CeilingsSafely operate hand and power toolsPerform heavy physical labor (i.e. lifting of equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.)Minimum QualificationsMust be able to pass a drug testHigh school diploma or GED3-5 years experience working as a carpenter or apprentice in a commercial, residential, or facilities operations setting is a plus.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $29.00 - $37.00 per hour.Benefits:401(k) matchingDental insurance100% employer paid health insurance2+ weeks paid vacationSchedule:10 hour shift
