Job description
Carpenter Position at BluEdgeBluEdge is in search of a Carpenter to join our "Custom Creations" team. This team produces high-end millwork and custom fabrications for retail environments, corporate offices, brand activations, and more. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bringing our client's fabrication projects to life. Specifically, the Carpenter is responsible for cutting, building, and fabrication environments based on technical drawing specifications. The ideal candidate should demonstrate good attention to detail and able to work in a busy production environment. High quality of the work is the key to being successful in this role.Each project that comes through our 60,000 sq.ft. facility is completely custom, so the perfect candidate will be someone with a creative mind, able to solve unique problems for our clients. If so, we'd love to meet!Special Skills and Requirements:Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materialsOperational knowledge of woodworking machines and hand toolsAbility to attach parts and subassemblies together to form completed units, using dowels, nails, screws, and/or clampsAbility to build complex structures, housing and creative installations while maintaining budgets.Experience working with account managers to determine best material and techniques for projectsAbility to build, repair, install items, such as cabinet, counter tops, shelving, moldings, and partition wallsKnowledge of maintain tools and equipment.Physical staminaBasic math and reading comprehension.College degree not needed but appreciated.Previous Experience:5 years of experience working in the industryExperience reading blueprints & technical drawingsExperience working with materials such as wood, aluminum, Dibond, HDU, and acrylics, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Pay Range: $27 - $30Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
