Carpenter LaborerWRS has an immediate opening for a Carpenter Laborer who supports carpenters and field crews across all phases of construction. Core work includes concrete forming, placing and finishing, structural framing and painting. The role requires general construction knowledge, safe use of power tools, saws, and careful attention to detail so all works meets quality standards.About WRSWRS offers a wide range of services in a number of industries. And we've been doing this for a long time: we're proud to be our communities' trusted problem-solvers since 1982.Are You a Good Fit?Our ideal candidate is innovative, relational, and honest.If you live for those "aha!" moments, you thrive in team settings, and you hold yourself to a high standard of work and ethics – we have a feeling you'll like it here.Your ResponsibilitiesHelp build, set, brace, align, and strip forms for footings, foundations, walls, slabs and stairs.Assist in placing rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, and blockouts per plans.Clean, oil, and stage forming materials for reuse.Layout, measure, cut and assemble wall, floor, and roof framing.Prep surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking.Apply primers, paints and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers per specification.Safely operate circular, miter and table saws, drills, impact drivers, nail guns, grinders, vibrators, and power trowels.Inspect, clean, stage and transport materials across the job site.Maintain a clean, organized work area while supporting carpenters and other trades as assigned.Verify work for level, plumb, square and accurate dimensions, correcting defects promptly.Your Experience & Qualifications1+ years of general construction, laborer, or hands-on trade experience preferred (willing to train candidates with strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude).High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Familiarity with basic hand tools and power equipment (saws, drills, impact drivers and nail guns).Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and job-site safety compliance.Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate tools, handle building materials, and perform precision assembly tasks.Ability to consistently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs independently, and up to 100lbs with assistance.Comfort with continues physical labor including bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders/scaffolding and standing for extended periods (8+hours per day).Your Benefits & CompensationWhen we say that we love investing in our team, we mean it.For full-time employees, WRS offers a full benefits package that includes:Full Medical coverage (with HSA option)Full Dental coverageVoluntary VisionGenerous PTO, based on hours worked10 Paid Holidays per yearLong-Term Disability InsuranceLife Insurance (including guaranteed buy up option)$250 per year - personal reimbursements401k (eligible after 1 year)ESOP (eligible after 1 year)
