Take Pride in Your Craft.Kreider & Diller Builders is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our in-house construction team serving Lancaster County and the surrounding area.This is a hands-on field position for someone who knows the trade, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can handle a variety of carpentry work. You'll work alongside experienced carpenters and field leadership on residential and commercial projects ranging from renovations and additions to new construction, multi-family, and specialty projects.We're a third-generation, family-owned construction company that has been serving the Lancaster area since 1959. We believe in doing things the right way, maintaining high standards, and employing our own skilled carpenters rather than subcontracting all of our field work.If you're dependable, skilled with your hands, and looking for steady work with an established local contractor, we'd like to talk with you.What You'll DoPerform hands-on carpentry on residential and commercial construction projectsComplete rough and finish carpentry workFrame walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, and other structural componentsInstall doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, molding, and other finish materialsMeasure, cut, assemble, and install building materials accuratelyRead and work from blueprints, plans, drawings, and specificationsAssist with renovations, additions, new construction, and remodeling projectsSafely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipmentIdentify potential issues and communicate them to the Foreperson or project leadershipMaintain K&D's standards for quality and workmanshipKeep job sites clean, organized, and safeFollow company safety procedures and job-site requirementsWork effectively with other carpenters, subcontractors, and tradesRepresent Kreider & Diller professionally while working at customer and project locationsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who knows carpentry, works hard, and takes pride in producing quality work.You should have:Previous hands-on carpentry or construction experienceExperience with rough and/or finish carpentryKnowledge of common construction methods, materials, and toolsAbility to accurately measure, cut, and install building materialsAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic construction calculationsAbility to follow blueprints, plans, and instructionsExperience with framing, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, or similar carpentry workReliable attendance and a strong work ethicGood attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a crewKnowledge of basic job-site safety practicesValid driver's licensePhysical ability to lift and move construction materials, work on ladders and at heights, and perform construction work in varying weather conditionsNo specific degree or certification is required.Compensation & Schedule$25–$30 per hour, based on experienceMonday through Friday7:00 AM–3:30 PM40-hour typical workweek with a 30-minute lunchField-based position serving projects in and around Lancaster, PABenefits & PerksMedical coverage for the employee after 90 days401(k) eligibility after one year of service, with company contributionOne week's vacation after one year; two weeks after two yearsSix paid holidaysPerformance-based bonus opportunitySteady, full-time workOpportunity to work on a wide variety of residential and commercial projectsWork alongside an experienced in-house construction teamWhy Kreider & Diller?At Kreider & Diller, carpenters aren't just another subcontracted crew—they're an important part of our company.For more than 60 years, we've served Lancaster County and the surrounding area with quality residential and commercial construction.
