Job description
Carpenter PositionWe are hiring experienced carpenters to build, modify, and dismantle temporary wooden decks and stages on a large commercial construction project. This is a skilled position requiring individuals who can work independently with little to no supervision. Candidates must be able to build free-standing wooden decks, stairs, ramps, and railings without training.We need carpenters who can hit the ground running from day one. This position is best suited for someone with strong framing and carpentry experience who can build structures from plans without needing hands-on training. While carpentry will be the primary focus, candidates should be willing to assist with other tasks around the job site when needed.Pay: Based on ExperienceSchedule:Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PMSaturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMSunday work available based on project needsResponsibilities:Build and tear down temporary wooden decks and stagesConstruct wooden stairs, ramps, and railingsRead and interpret blueprints and construction drawingsMeasure, cut, and install lumber accuratelyOperate hand tools and power tools safely and efficientlyUse rotary hammer drills and other construction equipment as neededMaintain a safe and productive work areaAssist with other construction tasks when neededRequirements:Strong wood framing carpentry experienceAbility to build wooden decks, stages, stairs, ramps, and railings without trainingExperience reading blueprints and layout drawingsSkilled with measuring, cutting, and fitting wood materialsProficient with power tools, including rotary hammer drillsAbility to work independently and produce quality work with minimal supervisionComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsReliable transportation and consistent attendanceWork Environment:Large commercial construction project100% outdoor work environmentFrequent walking on uneven dirt and gravel surfacesRegular exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and sunOvertime available throughout the projectJob Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
