Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Carpenter will perform moderately complex work with wood and other materials to build and repair structures and other items, with regular guidance. In this role, you will undertake remodeling, alteration, maintenance and construction of buildings, amenities and other property in accordance with codes and ordinances, while maintaining a safe and clean working environment by following all safety and regulatory polices.Job Type: Full Time Shift(s) Available : Day Shift Compensation: $43.08/hrKey AccountabilitiesBuild, maintain, repair and perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on wooden structures and equipmentParticipate in carpentry projects such as building and repairing (complete from framing, roofing, to interior finishing), fences, decking, ramps, flooring, platforms, and paintingProjects include planning, ordering materials, and completion of work in a timely mannerBuilding and maintaining salt boxes, pond gates, and pond wallsBuilding and installing cabinetry, and some interior remodeling, as well as some cement workUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years of age or olderAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Minimum of 2 years of carpentry as a framing carpenter with the skills and abilities to: Operate and maintain power and hand toolsExperience Reading and understanding drawings and blueprintsBasic Math skillsAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticePreferred Qualifications:Forklift experienceHigh school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experienceBasic computer skillsExperience in manufacturing settingConsidered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
