Job Description

NEPA Builders, INC.

Carpenter - Residential Construction

Location: Blakely, PA (projects across Northeast PA)

Steady Work. Local Projects. A Real Opportunity to Grow.

If you're a skilled carpenter, you shouldn't have to wonder whether you'll have 40 hours of work next month. And you shouldn't have to spend your career waiting for an opportunity to move up that never comes. NEPA Builders is looking for skilled residential carpenters who want steady, year-round work, local projects, a strong team, and an opportunity to build a long-term career.

Maybe you're tired of traveling hours to jobsites. Maybe the company you're working for doesn't have consistent work. Or maybe you've been told you're going to get the opportunity to become a Lead Carpenter, but that opportunity never seems to come. We want to meet the carpenter who's ready for more. We're looking for people who take pride in their craft, show up for their team, want to continue learning, and are interested in taking on greater responsibility as they grow.

At NEPA Builders, you'll work on high-quality renovations, additions, exterior renovations, and

new homes throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. You'll have an established company and team behind you, a steady pipeline of work, and an opportunity to grow based on your performance and ability.

The Role

As a Carpenter, you'll work with our production team to deliver high-quality residential projects from framing through fine finishes. You'll coordinate closely with Project Managers and Lead Carpenters, stay a few steps ahead on materials and sequencing, and help keep jobsites clean, safe, organized, and on schedule. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands that the details matter,

and wants to be part of a team that cares about the quality of what we build.

Our Core Values

Leaders Eat Last We recognize that leadership is a service to others, not a title to hold. We

lead with humility and follow others with grace.

Quality in Everything Treat every client as if they were our own family, with the care and

respect we'd show to our grandmother, and every home as if it were our own.

Extreme Ownership, Extreme Integrity We don't pass the blame or make excuses. Each

team member takes full responsibility for their role, knowing that our integrity is defined by our

actions. We are dedicated to being reliable, honest, and principled in every decision we make,

no matter the difficulty. We know that honesty and integrity are the foundation of trust, and we

are committed to being transparent with our clients and each other.

Service with Purpose We strive to serve not only our clients, but also those who need a

helping hand, offering our skills and expertise to Build our community and make NEPA a better

place.

Adventure and Achievement Short-term wins energize us, each one fueling our commitment

to a vision that will outlast us and inspire future generations. Our pursuit of success is driven by

adventure, constant growth, and a commitment to creating positive change that endures beyond

our own time.

Responsibilities

Execute residential carpentry scopes including framing, exterior trim and siding, window and door installation, decking, interior trim, cabinets, and finishes.

Read and interpret plans, specifications, and scopes;

ask questions when something is unclear.

Stage materials and tools, verify quantities, and coordinate deliveries to avoid downtime.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites and participate in daily safety practices.

Collaborate with the Project Manager and Lead Carpenter on sequencing and quality control.

Meet schedule milestones while upholding NEPA Builders' workmanship standards.

Document progress with photos and notes and communicate issues early with potential solutions.

Work professionally around homeowners, trade partners, and other members of the NEPA Builders team.

Help less-experienced team members when appropriate and contribute to a positive, team-oriented jobsite.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Professional residential carpentry experience, from framing through finishes.

Solid understanding of layout, measuring, cuts and joins, fasteners, and moisture management.

Ability to read construction drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.

Organized, calm under pressure, and proactive;

you plan ahead instead of waiting until the day something is needed.

Team-oriented with strong communication skills and client-facing professionalism.

Takes pride in craftsmanship and is willing to learn NEPA Builders' processes and standards.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to work across Northeast PA.

Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varied conditions.

Why Work With Us

You'll join a tight-knit, growing team that values craftsmanship, planning, and doing right by clients and each other. We invest in people who take ownership and want a career, not just a job. You shouldn't have to chase the next project to keep working. And if you have the ability and desire to become a leader, you shouldn't have to wait forever for someone to give you the opportunity.

At NEPA Builders, we're looking for people who want to learn, grow, take on greater responsibility, and build something they're proud of. If you're good at what you do and you're looking for a company where you can build a long-term career, not just find your next job, we'd like to meet you.
