Design|Build|Remodel has spent 43 years making life better for our homeowners and we're looking for a Carpenter to join our growing team.As a Carpenter, you'll work from blueprints, drawings, and direction from our Lead Carpenters and Project Managers to bring residential remodeling projects to life from framing through finish work. It's hands-on, varied work, and every project is a chance to sharpen your craft.Carpentry TasksComplete and assist with tasks such as framing, installation of doors and windows, trim work, cabinetry, flooring, and other structural or finishing elementsUtilize hand tools, machines, and power toolsWork from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions, ensuring adherenceFollow safety protocols and keep the worksite clean and organizedCollaborationUnderstand project requirements, timelines, and budgetsInterpret specifications in project scope, sketches, or building plans to assist with project layout and determine dimensions and required materialsEffectively communicate with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other personnel to provide project updates, address concerns, and resolve issuesProject DocumentationComplete progress reports, work logs, and material recordsCommunicate change orders and submit reimbursement requests in accordance with applicable policiesAccurately input timekeeping information to ensure correct job costingWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience in carpentry preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in carpentry or drafting/blueprint reading, and trade certifications, are a plusSolid understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and toolsThe ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyA detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and qualityWhy Work for Murphy Bros.Monday through Friday workweekJobsites within the 7-county metro areaCompetitive compensation planHealth benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) with a company match up to 4%Paid time off plus eight paid holidaysMileage, tool, and cell phone reimbursementWhat Drives UsEverything we do is guided by our core values and we're looking for a Carpenter who shares them:Uncommon Integrity It's what you do when no one is looking, and what you promise to do when they are.Get It Done with Great Care We're committed to finishing the job, and finishing it well.Take Ownership We don't wait to be told; we see what needs doing and step forward.Glad to See Ya!
