CarpenterShelby, North CarolinaCarpenter – Restoration Company Job Title: Carpenter – Restoration & Reconstruction Location: Kings Mountain, NC / Surrounding Areas Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $25.00 Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime or weekends as needed: 7am-5pmJob Summary We are looking for an experienced and dependable Carpenter to join a growing restoration company. This position involves repairing, rebuilding, and restoring residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by water, fire, storms, or other unexpected events. The ideal candidate will have hands-on carpentry experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a variety of repairs and reconstruction projects. We need someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently or as part of a team, and is comfortable working in different environments.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform carpentry repairs and reconstruction on residential and commercial properties.Repair and replace damaged drywall, flooring, trim, doors, windows, and other building materials.Install baseboards, crown molding, cabinets, doors, and other interior finishes.Perform framing, including repairing or rebuilding walls, floors, and ceilings.Assist with demolition and removal of damaged materials before reconstruction begins.Complete repairs following water, fire, storm, and other property damage.Measure, cut, and install materials accurately.Perform minor painting, drywall finishing, and general construction repairs as needed.Read and follow work orders, measurements, and project instructions.Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.Maintain a clean and organized job site.Communicate with project managers and team members regarding job progress and materials needed.Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of carpentry or residential construction experience preferred.Experience in restoration, remodeling, or reconstruction is a plus.Strong knowledge of framing, drywall, trim work, flooring, and general carpentry.Ability to use measuring tools, saws, drills, nail guns, and other construction equipment.Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.Willingness to travel to different job sites within the surrounding area.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with assistance for heavier materials.Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on ladders.Ability to work in residential, commercial, and occasionally damaged-property environments.Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction tasks.Preferred SkillsWater and fire damage restoration experience.Drywall installation and finishing.Finish carpentry and trim installation.Flooring installation and repairs.Cabinet installation.Interior and exterior remodeling.General knowledge of construction materials and building practices.What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in doing the job right.
