Carpenter - Skilled TradesmanThe Carpenter - Skilled Tradesman is an experienced and trainable laborer skilled in carpentry in multiple areas of residential and commercial rebuilding, with a demonstrated track record in insurance restoration work. Effective communication skills are essential during the reconstruction process. Carpenters reports directly to the Project Manager. Candidates are expected to possess a reliable truck and tools to execute tasks to a high standard.Hourly Pay Range is: $21.00 - $36.00Principal Duties & Responsibilities:General carpentry - residential and commercialDemolitionTile WorkHanging cabinetsTrim carpentry-baseboardsDoor hanging and tapingPaintingLight electrical/plumbingRough framing consisting of re-framing homes and setting trussesEnsure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communicationComply with safety, quality & procedural standardsSupervisory Responsibility:This position has no direct reportsQualifications & Requirements:Direct experience working as a skilled carpenter is requiredKnowledge of carpentry and use of carpentry related hand and power toolsSelf-motivatedWork in confined areas (crawl space)Understand and follow oral and written instructionsCommunicate effectively in oral and written forms to execute required paperworkIdentify hazards in assigned work areasWork safely without presenting a direct threat to self or othersMeet the mental and physical demands of the jobAbility to work with people in a professional mannerMaintains a valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordSuccessfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background checkSuccessfully pass a pre-employment drug screeningEducation:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredWork Environment & Physical Job Demands:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
