Job description

CarpenterWe are seeking an experienced carpenter to support a large-scale, high-rise residential construction project in West Palm Beach, FL. In this role, you perform a wide range of rough and finish carpentry tasks while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and safety on an active commercial construction site.ResponsibilitiesBuild, install, and repair wood and metal framing systems for commercial and multi-family structures.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications to plan and execute carpentry work accurately.Construct and install formwork, temporary structures, and concrete forms to support structural and civil construction activities.Install doors, hardware, blocking, backing, and miscellaneous finish carpentry components in accordance with project specifications.Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and appropriate measuring equipment.Install wall systems, sheathing, trim, and other carpentry-related components to meet design and quality requirements.Maintain proper layout and alignment to ensure all work complies with project plans, codes, and standards.Work collaboratively alongside other trades, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and roofing teams, to meet project schedules and deadlines.Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear.Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient jobsite.Assist with general labor tasks related to concrete, piping, conduit, drywall, and installation as needed to support overall project progress.Essential SkillsAt least 3 years of commercial or multi-family construction carpentry experience.Experience performing both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, formwork, and trim installation.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and layout specifications.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment commonly used in carpentry and general construction.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a physically demanding construction environment.Knowledge of construction safety practices and willingness to follow all site-specific safety requirements.Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.Experience working on mid-rise or high-rise construction projects preferred.OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.Additional Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience in commercial construction environments, including high-rise and multi-family projects.Experience in rough carpentry, civil construction, and general labor tasks.Familiarity with plumbing, piping, and PVC installation in support of structural and mechanical systems.Exposure to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and conduit work in a commercial construction setting.Ability to install and repair drywall, roofing components, and related building systems.Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work according to project specifications and quality standards.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary construction team.Comfort working with a wide range of hand tools and power tools in outdoor conditions.Why Work Here?You join a long-term, two-year project that offers consistent work on a major high-rise residential development, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills in complex commercial construction. Conditions include exposure to weather, noise, and typical commercial construction activities, with a strong emphasis on safety, proper use of tools, and adherence to site rules and procedures.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
