CarpenterWe are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of structures and materials requiredMeasure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gaugeCut, shape, and join materials made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power toolsInstall structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power toolsFinish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools, and panelingErect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levelFollow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environmentRequirements:Proven experience as a CarpenterAbility to read and interpret blueprints and drawingsProficient in using hand and power toolsKnowledge of building materials, codes, and safety regulationsPhysical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditionsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsGood communication and teamwork skillsEducation and Experience:High School diploma or GEDRelevant experience with carpentry, masonry, and electrical is requiredFamiliarity with residential and commercial construction practicesValid driver's licenseEmployment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testingCompetencies:CommunicationTechnical and mechanical skillsCapable of working independentlyAvailable Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package401(k) and profit sharingPaid holidays & vacation/sick timeSupervisory Responsibility:NoneWork Environment:This job operates in the field, both indoors and outdoors depending on the scope of workPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some job functions will be performed outdoors and expose the employee to changing weather conditions.Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in addition to weekends on an as-needed basis with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.Travel:Must be willing to travel.
