The company designs, produces and showcases custom made product including indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, rugs, textiles, and leathers.Position ProfileMust have the ability to read and comprehend furniture drawings, and create detailed cut lists. Perform the cutting, joinery, assembly and finish sanding of furniture frames, decorative sofa and chair bases, small tables, consoles, and benches.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssembly of products:Product completion per Production ScheduleMeet all critical dimensions and product characteristics.Maintain work station clean, organized and safe.Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required.Maintain the time sheet accurate and on time.Observe all company policies and standard practices.Participate on all required continuous improvement activities.Required SkillsMinimum Qualifications5+ years previous experience of woodworking.Reading and understanding drawings, dimensions, views and tolerances.Proficient using equipment and hand tools such:Bench sawMiter saw/Radial sawBand sawPlaner/JointerElectrical tools: Router, screw driver, sander.Hand tools.Comfortable working in a fast paced team environment while managing multiple projects.Strong attention to detail and flawless results.Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization and be a team memberJob Location: Chicago, United StatesPosition Type: HourlyWe hire qualified applicants representing a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
