We value craftsmanship and pride in your work, respectful communication, teamwork and accountability, and doing things the right way.Pay and benefits include $31-$39/hour based on experience with potential health insurance benefits, full-time Monday through Friday schedule, overtime opportunities available, SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with company match, paid holidays and vacation benefits, paid travel time for qualifying longer-distance projects, and a stable, respected company where skilled tradespeople are appreciated.As our Lead Carpenter, you'll be the on-site leader responsible for managing daily jobsite operations while completing high-quality carpentry work. You'll report directly to the Production Manager and work closely with subcontractors and homeowners to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and to Morrison's high standards.Key responsibilities include performing all phases of residential remodeling carpentry, including rough and finish work, completing framing, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and detailed finish work, reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and project documents, maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, leading daily jobsite activities and coordinating subcontractors as needed, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite, protecting client property and maintaining professionalism in occupied homes, communicating project updates, challenges, and needs with the Production Manager, coordinating materials, deliveries, and jobsite needs, participating in pre-construction meetings and final walkthroughs, and helping keep projects organized and moving forward.We're looking for 5-8 years of residential remodeling carpentry experience, expert-level rough and finish carpentry skills and the confidence to work independently, experience leading a jobsite, crew, or subcontractors preferred, proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions in the field, professional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, ability to perform the essential functions of residential construction, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and working in a variety of weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation, valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) preferred.Submit an updated resume highlighting your residential remodeling experience.
