Job description
Lead CarpenterWe are looking to hire a skilled lead carpenter to provide guidance and supervision to the project team involved in construction projects. The lead carpenter's responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to the Project Manager's requests for emergency repairs, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications.Lead Carpenter Responsibilities:Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team.Communicating with the Project Manager in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed.Supervising the company's field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors.Performing all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry.Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team.Take progress photos of each job throughout every stage and send them to the Construction Manager weekly.Lead Carpenter Requirements:High school diploma or GED.Valid driver's license.Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction.Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.The ability to safely operate power tools.Must possess all of your own tools to complete the job.The ability to read blueprints.Excellent time management skills.Effective communication skills.Strong leadership skills.Required Tools:Circular saw Hammer Tape measure Drill Hand tools Framing nailer Reciprocating saw Finish nailer GFCI extension cord Jig saw Screwdrivers 2' and 4' levels Pliers/wrenches Sawhorses Carpenters belt Impact gun 6' stepladder Sawhorses SquareRecommended Tools:Table saw Miter Surface planer Hammer drill 6' level Biscuit jointerSchedule:· Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (1/2-hour unpaid lunch)Physical Demands:· Employees may be required to stand or walk over 75% of the time. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling may be required. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Must meet vision requirements to obtain a driver's license.
