Job description

Carpentry Construction ForemanTTK Enterprises is a locally-owned and family-operated company providing transportation and construction services that was started and grown right in the Bakken. We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Construction Foreman to serve as a working foreman responsible for leading and working alongside crew(s) on a variety of construction projects and structures in the Bakken area, serving residential, agricultural, and the oil and gas industries. The primary focus of this position will be the construction of pole/post-frame buildings, stick-frame structures, and other structures of varying types, sizes, and uses.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform hands-on carpentry and construction work while directing assigned crew(s) in the construction and repair of pole/post-frame structures, stick-frame structures, and other construction projects.Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, drawings, layouts, and project specifications to ensure work meets project requirements and quality standards.Plan and organize daily crew assignments, establish expected progress, and utilize individual employee skills to maximize crew efficiency and project success.Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, manpower, suppliers, and subcontractors to support timely and cost-effective project completion.Monitor project progress, scheduling, and job performance to ensure projects and repairs are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.Provide professional leadership by maintaining a safe, organized, productive, and respectful work environment while leading by example.Assist with project bidding by reviewing plans, assessing labor, materials, and equipment requirements, and providing accurate estimates to support profitable project proposals.Ensure crew members, including new hires, receive appropriate training and follow all company safety, construction, and corporate policies and procedures.Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing new employees, including providing recommendations for promotions, demotions, and wage adjustments.Communicate with customers regarding project requirements, contractual aspects, progress updates, and concerns.Conduct daily planning and crew meetings to review assignments, safety and training topics, job performance, and expected progress.Complete all required daily tickets and project documentation accurately and timely.Perform other construction, carpentry, foreman, or related duties as assigned based on project and company needs.Supervisory Responsibilities:As the Carpentry Construction Foreman, you will lead and supervise a team of construction workers by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years' leadership in the building construction industry requiredExtensive experience in post-frame construction requiredValid Drivers LicenseAvailable to work 10-12 hours and weekend availability during peak construction season.Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and proceduresStandard weight lifting requirements – 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 poundsCapable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (up to 40 feet)Education Requirements:Basic: High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred: Associate's degree or technical certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field.Preferred: Relevant experience in construction supervision or project management.Physical Requirements:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to). The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. The incumbent must wear a respirator when required. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery is required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.
