Carpentry Foreman – Lead Custom Residential Projects in Northern Wisconsin

Job Overview

Salary/Pay Rate: $35 to $42 per hour (based on experience)

Location: St. Germain, WI (Onsite plus travel within 30 mile vicinity)

Job/Employment Type: Full Time

The Opportunity

As a Carpentry Foreman at Waldmann Construction, you will lead custom residential projects that showcase top-tier craftsmanship and attention to detail. You will guide crew members in the field, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, and to high-quality standards. This role empowers you to make a tangible impact on home builds while working in a supportive team environment with deep Wisconsin roots.

How You Will Make an Impact

Direct and coordinate daily field operations for custom residential construction projects to ensure work remains on schedule and within budget.

Supervise, mentor, and hold job site crews accountable to high safety, quality, and craftsmanship standards.

Review drawings and specifications thoroughly to verify constructability and prevent project roadblocks.

Prepare, track, and maintain accurate project documentation, including cost forecasts and change orders.

Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve field issues quickly.

Monitor resource allocation on-site to maintain operational efficiency across all assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on project management and leadership experience in construction.

Proven expertise in residential carpentry, custom framing, interior finishes, and building methods.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings and specifications.

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with experience managing site safety and budgets.

Possession of a valid driver's license and the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Formal training or active certifications in OSHA safety guidelines, fall protection, or lift operations.
