Carpenter Position
Qualifications: Must have the ability to follow written instructions and have two years of experience as a carpenter. Must prove competence on a performance test of job-related skills. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Reports To: General Manager of Maintenance, Associate Manager of Maintenance, Assistant Manager of Maintenance
Performance Responsibilities:
To perform all types of construction duties as directed by the carpentry foreman or leaderman. Work includes: reading of rules, figuring square footage, identifying types of hand and electrical tools and knowing how to use them, figuring concrete, using a framing square, figuring lumber, installing doors, doing miscellaneous jobs, repairing floor tile, etc. and preparing forms to pour concrete.
To accept all work assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenance.
To furnish truck capable of carrying heavy loads and to provide all necessary hand and power tools of the trade.
To furnish transportation for personnel use as required.
To supervise or instruct helper or apprentice.
All employees are subject to Drug/Alcohol testing in accordance with Policy GAME.
Evaluation: Performance in this position will be evaluated at least once annually in accordance with Board Policy.
