Carpentry TechniciansGuaranteed 40 Hours per week - Year-Round Work - No Seasonal LayoffsSwartz Restoration & Emergency Services is a trusted leader in disaster restoration and emergency services. We are currently seeking a CARPENTRY TECHNICIAN with a minimum of 3 years of proven carpentry experience, to provide a range of construction skills and renovation skills to help restore residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, smoke, wind, and other perils. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who has a wide range of remodeling skills, a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.Carpentry Technician Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of proven professional carpentry or remodeling experience.High school diploma or GED equivalentA valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordMust be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen (pre-employment and random)Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the Swartz Restoration office in Lima, OHExperience with drywall, trim work, painting, cabinetry, flooring (tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc.), and other general home improvements/remodeling.Must be proficient using carpentry tools and equipment & own a set of standard hand & power toolsProfessional appearance & attitudeThe ability to interact with our customers on a professional & friendly level and ensure client satisfaction at all times.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directionsDedicated to consistently perform quality workMust be willing to participate in the rotating on call schedule to respond to emergency jobs on evenings and weekends.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Complete assigned punch list repairs in reconstruction projects while following the scope of work and adhering to project timelines. (Workload will focus on finish carpentry).Complete work orders as given by project managerConstruct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframesComplete trim projects (baseboard, casing, crown, etc.)Painting, staining, finishingComplete light HVAC, plumbing, and electrical projectsComplete kitchen and bath remodelsComplete assigned jobs within budget and on timeComplete jobs with mitigation department as requestedClean up assigned job sites; may be doing a days' worth of work on different job sitesKeep equipment clean and organized in the shop and in the vehicleResponding to emergency calls on evenings and weekends (board ups, setting mitigation equipment, tarping roofs, and securing the property)Other duties as assignedWe Offer:Competitive hourly wage based on experience/skill + Bonus Pay & Overtime OpportunitiesMedical, Dental, & Vision insurance (company pays 80% of employee's premium)Weekly paychecksPaid Time Off hours (PTO), Vacation Pay, & Holiday PayCompany-provided uniforms401(k) Retirement plan with a 4% company match$25,000 life insurance policy (company pays 100%)Collaborative culture that values flexibility, mutual respect, and work-life balance.Staff appreciation events and company celebrationsEmployee Assistance Program*We are proud to be a DRUG-free workplace.**EOE.
