Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
nPart-time: 10 hours per week (day/evening availability required)
nSalary: $27-31/hour
nLocation: Seaford, NY

nWe have great opportunities for positive, motivated individuals to work in an OASAS program.
nIn this position, you will:
nnnProvide case management, substance abuse counseling, and advocacy services
n
nnParticipate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team to facilitate the client recovery and rehabilitation processes
n
nnDevelops educational topics and facilitates group counseling
n
nnMaintain case records, updates treatment plans, writes progress notes and psychosocial histories
n
n nWe require:
nnnMust be certified by NYS OASAS as a CASAC
n
nnBachelor's and/or Master's Degree in a related field
n
nnAt least 1 year of experience working with chemical dependency and/or mental health experience required including group experience
n
nnMaintains yearly educational requirements for timely renewal of OASAS credential
n
nnOutstanding interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
n
