EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Bilingual Case Aide to join the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and WRAP (Weatherization) Program.

nnSchedule: 8:45AM-4:45PM, Monday- Friday

nnLocation: 175 Fulton Ave 4th Floor in Hempstead, NY, 11550

n nWhat drives the core purpose of this job:
nThe Bilingual Case Aide is responsible for interviewing clients, assessing eligibility and processing applications for Nassau County residents seeking financial assistance with their energy costs through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and WRAP (Weatherization).
nWhat are the key responsibilities:
nnnInterview and assess the eligibility of prospective clients seeking financial assistance with their energy costs.
n
nnProcess client applications, complete required forms, and perform data entry in accordance with the guidelines established by the Nassau County Department of Social Services.
n
nnInteract with other agencies and heating and utility companies.
n
nnPrepare and maintain appropriate records and departmental paperwork
n
nnDemonstrates knowledge of computer programs necessary to perform job responsibilities (i.e. Outlook, Microsoft Word, etc.).

nnPerform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC Network Administration.

n nWhat key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:
nnnHigh School Diploma or educational equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
n
nnMinimum of one year of relevant experience working with low-income households.
n
nnExcellent interviewing, communication and organizational skills required.
n
nnMust be detail-oriented.
n
nnMust be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
n
nnBilingual (Spanish Speaking) Required.
