Job description
Pay Rate: $30 per hour - $37 per hour
Shift: Part Time 20 hrs, Flexibility to work nights and weekend
Summary:
Responsible for delivering best in class leave of absence, worker's compensation, and accommodation services.
Manage assigned caseload in coordination with the vendor to ensure compliance and smooth experience for company employees.
Track leave cases in accordance with federal and state regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Establish ongoing communication with employees, managers, health care providers, and agencies to ensure understanding and documentation of individual circumstances.
Responsibilities: Respond to inquiries about leave, worker's compensation, and disability events.
Serve as a point of contact for staff to provide holistic case management services.
Monitor, track, and maintain records for work-related injuries and absences.
Educate managers and business partners on employee concerns and needs.
Communicate regular updates to employees and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with standard work, federal/state regulations, and company policy.
Maintain system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation.
Consult and coordinate with third-party administrator, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Managers, and other departments as appropriate.
Assess and adjust the case management plan to an employee's changing needs.
Troubleshoot issues and seek to remove barriers before, during, or after a leave event.
Respond to employee impacting issues that may arise during the leave event.
Manage caseload efficiently, organize priorities, provide timely intervention, and maintain sensitivity to confidential records.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of two years of relevant work experience required.
Experience with FMLA, PFML, out of state statutory leaves or workers' comp preferred.
Kronos and Workday experience preferred.
Preferred Skills: Thorough knowledge of federal, state laws, regulations, rules, policies, and procedures regarding workplace absence and disability designations.
Thorough knowledge of ADA regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong computer skills in MS Office and ability to work on data entry.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with spreadsheets.
Team-oriented and adaptable to change.
Ability to work independently.
Strong customer service skills, including empathy, compassion, patience, and enthusiasm.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask with strong judgment skills.
Detail-oriented with good judgment.
