Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Case Management
Unit Information
Department: Case Management and Social Work
Number of Beds: Coverage for the entire hospital
Staffing: 22 staff members
Day Shift: 10 Case Managers, 3 Social Workers, 2 Case Management Assistants, 1 Manager, 1 Director
Night Shift: No night shift coverage
Patient Ratios: 20-25 patients per RN, 50 patients per Social Worker
Equipment: Computer, phone, etc.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech/Meditech Expanse starting 8/13
Job Overview
This position involves case management within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities include discharge planning and utilizing Interqual criteria to determine patient status.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 years of hospital case management experience
Preferred Skills:
Additional hospital case management experience
Personality Attributes
The ideal candidate will be flexible and comfortable asking questions to support patient care and effective case management.
Required Certifications
Must hold an active RN license
Floating Areas
May be required to float to any medical-surgical or ICU unit if needed.
Dress Code
Business casual attire is required. Scrubs are not permitted, but a plain white lab coat may be worn if owned.
Weekends and On-Call Requirements
No weekend work is required for this position.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a daytime schedule of 8 AM to 5 PM for a duration of 13 weeks.
