nPosition Summary:
nThe Case Manager Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to a team of Case Managers responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and permanency of children and families involved in the child welfare system. This role ensures compliance with the Florida Child Welfare Practice Model, guiding case managers in delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered services. The Case Manager Supervisor plays a key role in achieving program goals, including reunification, placement stability, adoption, and permanency planning while upholding best practices in child welfare. The role focuses on strong supervision, team performance, and accountability by using data and metrics to guide decision-making, improve outcomes, and maintain compliance with all contractual and performance standards.
nEssential Job Functions:
nnnProvide guidance and oversight to the case management team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
n
nnMonitor and evaluate case management staff performance, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
n
nnParticipate in and lead case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions.
n
nnEnsure staff adherence to HIPAA, Professional Ethics, Consumer Rights, and Confidentiality policies.
n
nnParticipate in performance improvement activities and uphold the mission, vision, and guiding principles of WestCare Foundation.
n
nnProvide daily team huddles for oversight, direction, and support to assigned case managers.
n
nnLead regular team meetings to review data, performance metrics, and case progress.
n
nnReview and approve key case actions including safety plans, placements, and court documentation.
n
nnPromote accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the unit.
n
nnProvide guidance and oversight to the case management team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
n
nnConduct weekly one-on-one supervision sessions with each Case Manager.
n
nnEncourage teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence
n
nnSupport onboarding, training, and ongoing development for new and existing staff.
n
nnProvide consistent feedback, mentoring, and coaching to strengthen skills and performance.
n
nnRecognize and reinforce positive performance and address issues promptly and professionally.
n
nnConduct timely Supervisor Consults and thorough Supervisor Reviews on cases, providing detailed feedback and ensuring that documentation reflects accurate case activity, quality of service, and engagement with families. Ensure these are documented in FSFN.
n
nnTrack compliance with required case activities, documentation timelines, and quality standards.
n
nnUse data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
n
nnPartner with Quality Assurance and leadership to address findings and support performance improvement plans when needed.
n
nnEnsure documentation, supervisory reviews, and case activities are timely and accurate in FSFN.
n
nnEnsure court documentation is accurate, professional and filed within established Children Legal Services time frames.
n
nnMeet or exceed all contractual, scorecard, and performance metrics.
n
nnMonitor and manage unit performance across key measures, including:

nnChildren Seen Every 30 Days o Supervisor Reviews o Medical and Dental Compliance o Parent Engagement o Case Plan Updates and Safety Plan
n
nnReview data weekly to identify red and yellow performance areas and collaborate with Case Managers on realistic plans to improve outcomes.
n
nnFacilitate accountability discussions that focus on learning, growth, and shared responsibility rather than blame.
n
nnMaintain organized calendars and ensure adequate coverage for staff in the field to balance workload and prevent burnout.
n
nnCollaborate with internal departments, community partners, and the court system to support effective service delivery.
n
nnMaintain clear, respectful, and professional communication at all times.
n
nnFacilitate reunification efforts while maintaining concurrent planning for alternative permanency options.
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned.

n nQualifications
nEssential Qualifications:
nCertifications/Licensures:
nnCertification as a Certified Case Manager Supervisor in good standing by the Florida Certification Board is required within 6 months from the date of hire. Preference will be given to those candidates who are currently Certified as a Child Welfare Professional.
n nEducation:
nnnMaster’s degree in social work or a related field, with at least one (1) year of managerial experience in human services or child welfare programs; or
n
nnBachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, with at least three (3) years of experience in human services or child welfare programs, including at least one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role.
n
n nExperience and Competencies:
nnnBilingual is preferred.
n
nnPhysical required prior to hire; paid by agency

nnValid Florida driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required;

nnConduct weekly one-on-one supervision with case managers, reviewing cases, providing guidance, and ensuring timely documentation of supervisory consultations in CCWIS.
n
nnEnsure case managers develop, implement, and monitor case plans aimed at achieving permanency within 12 months.

nnMonitor case manager workloads to ensure manageable caseloads
n
nnEnsure all case managers adhere to Florida Child Welfare Practice Model requirements and Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI) principles.
n
nnCollaborate with legal services, placement units, behavioral health providers, and other departments to maintain alignment with best practices and agency goals.

nnWork with the Quality Improvement (QI) Department to address performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

nnOversee case documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with mandated timeframes.

nnUse of Stabilify data systems to oversee Case Managers performance and maintain compliance of mandated timeframes.
