nQUALIFICATIONS
nnnHigh School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
n
nnOne (1) year case work or related experience
n
nnBi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
n
nnKnowledge of criteria for food, rent, and utility assistance and the processes to enroll participants
n
nnAbility to use HMIS and Family Services software program
n
nnAbility to access at risk participants and situations
n
nnProficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
n
nnStrong oral and written communication skills
n
nnStrong organizational and file management skills
n
nnAbility to work in a team setting
n
nnAbility to prioritize responsibilities and manage time
n
nnAbility to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
n
nnAbility to work flexible days and hours, including weekends
n
nnMust possess a valid Nevada driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record check
n
nnMust be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
n
n nRESPONSIBILITIES
nnnConduct interviews, asses immediate and long-term needs, and develop case plans
n
nnProvide case management and needed services to low-income and/or at-risk individuals/families in compliance with program policies and procedures
n
nnPrepare and submit required reports to Family Services Ministries Coordinator in a timely manner
n
nnMaintain accurate program records of EFSP, SHARE AND REACH programs, as well as volunteers and vendors
n
nnKeep statistics as related to demographics, types of assistance given
n
nnWrite accurate and concise case notes for each client
n
nnAbility to lead and teach classes relating to budgeting, banking and other basic life skills
n
nnAid with seasonal events and drives as needed
n
nnWork in food pantry; assisting clients and stocking shelves, bagging food and other related duties
n
nnMaintain neat and organized work area
n
nnNetworking with other agencies and organizations
n
nnOther duties as assigned

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
