Job description
Cash Application SpecialistWe are looking for a motivated Cash Application Specialist to join a team in Florida in a contract-to-permanent role. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys fast-paced, high-volume work and is eager to build expertise in cash application and accounts receivable processes. Training will be provided, making this a strong fit for an early-career, detail-oriented candidate at the entry level with a solid work ethic and a willingness to learn. The position offers the chance to contribute to daily payment activity while supporting process improvement initiatives and other operational projects.Responsibilities:Apply a high volume of customer payments accurately and efficiently within established timelines.Record and reconcile incoming cash transactions to ensure account balances remain current and correct.Post payments to customer accounts and investigate discrepancies when amounts do not align with remittance details.Assist with accounts receivable activities by maintaining organized records and supporting the resolution of unapplied cash.Participate in special projects aimed at improving workflow efficiency and strengthening payment processing operations.Support ongoing efforts to streamline and automate cash application tasks as new tools and processes are introduced.Communicate with internal teams to clarify payment information and help resolve posting issues promptly.
