Cash Applications & Reconciliation SpecialistOur client in Fort Worth Texas is seeking a Cash Applications & Reconciliation Specialist for a project-based contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on cash reconciliation and intercompany accounting experience and be comfortable working within an ERP system. This individual should be able to step into an established accounting environment, understand transaction flow between related entities, research discrepancies, and provide immediate support with minimal training.Cash Applications & Reconciliation Specialist Responsibilities:Perform cash applications and cash reconciliationsPerform intercompany reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies between related entitiesReview and reconcile intercompany transactions and account balancesResearch cash and accounting discrepancies and identify necessary adjustmentsPrepare and enter journal entries to accurately record transactionsAssist with intercompany accounting entries and supporting documentationSet up bank accounts within the ERP system to assist with process automationReview accounting records and supporting documentation for accuracy and completenessMaintain organized reconciliation schedules and accounting documentationWork within the company's ERP/accounting system to research, record, and reconcile transactionsProvide general accounting support for assigned projectsAssist with accounts payable and other transactional accounting functions as neededComplete assigned accounting projects accurately and within established deadlinesCommunicate outstanding items and discrepancies to appropriate team membersCash Applications & Reconciliation Specialist Background Profile:Previous experience in Cash Applications, Accounting Specialist, Accounting Clerk, Staff Accountant, Bookkeeper, AP Clerk, or similar accounting roleStrong cash reconciliation experiencePrior intercompany accounting and reconciliation experience strongly preferredExperience preparing and entering journal entriesWorking knowledge of general accounting principles and transaction processingERP/accounting system experience requiredNetSuite or similar ERP experience highly preferredJamis Prime experience is a plus, but not requiredAccounts payable experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to research discrepanciesStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and contribute with minimal trainingAbility to quickly learn new accounting systems and established processesFeatures and Benefits while On Contract:We go beyond the basic staffing agency offerings!
