Skills for Chicago
Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area. To be eligible for Skills for Chicago services, candidates must reside in Illinois or Indiana, be authorized to work in the United States, and be either unemployed or underemployed.

Job Highlights
Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, providing change and receipts as needed
Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any concerns to ensure a positive shopping experience
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking merchandise when needed
Adhere to store policies and procedures, including handling returns, exchanges, and promotions
Candidate Profile
Previous customer service experience is a plus
Open availability is required (early mornings, evenings, and weekend)
Successful applicants are required to provide I-9 documents (a valid driver's license or state ID and social security card) if selected for an in-person interview
Must be at least 16 years old
