Receptionist / CashierOur Receptionist / Cashier plays an important role in creating a positive experience for customers, visitors, and teammates. You'll greet people as they arrive, answer and direct incoming calls, process customer payments, maintain accurate records, and help keep the front office organized and running smoothly.It's a customer-facing role that combines service, accuracy, organization, and professionalism throughout the day.What Makes This Role Stand OutBe the first face and voice of the branch for customers, visitors, and callers.Build strong customer service experience through daily interaction with a wide variety of people.Use your attention to detail while processing payments, balancing a cash drawer, and maintaining accurate records.Work in a role with variety that combines receptionist, cashier, and general office support responsibilities.Grow with an established company that values dependable people and strong customer service.What You'll DoWelcome customers and visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately.Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers with routine questions and requests.Process customer payments accurately and maintain related records.Balance the cash drawer and help ensure payment activity is recorded correctly.Perform data entry and maintain accurate customer and office information.Prepare, organize, and file documents as needed.Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other office materials.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-office area.Handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.Assist branch leadership and teammates with general office and administrative needs as they arise.What You'll BringPrevious customer service, receptionist, cashier, or administrative experience preferred.Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional approach.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Basic math skills and the ability to process payments and balance a cash drawer.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.Dependability and the ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.Previous electrical supply or distribution experience is helpful, but not required.Why Join State Electric?Since 1952, State Electric Supply Co. has grown into one of the nation's leading electrical distributors, serving customers from 42 locations across seven states.We've built our reputation by taking care of our customers and investing in our people.
