Sentara Heart Hospital , located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team!
$30,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!
Experienced RN Pay: $41.93-$61.01/hour based on years of nursing
experience
Shift differentials available when applicable
Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts per week
7:00 AM-5:30 PM
Call is required
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care using clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the nursing process. The RN collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, educate patients and families, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Cardiac Cath Lab
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse , you will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced cardiovascular team while developing your skills across a variety of advanced cardiac procedures.
Cath Lab RNs may float, monitor, and scrub and will have the opportunity to participate in procedures including:
Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
Interventional cardiac procedures
Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) procedures
Left and right heart catheterizations
Watchman procedures for atrial fibrillation
Impella support
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
MitraClip procedures
Cardiac biopsies
Cardioversions
Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
Loop recorder implants
Additional advanced cardiovascular procedures
Sentara Heart Hospital
Sentara Heart Hospital is a 112-bed dedicated heart hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. The hospital is recognized for excellence in cardiovascular care and provides nurses with the opportunity to work with advanced technology, complex cardiac patients, and an experienced multidisciplinary heart team.
Education
Associate degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Current Virginia RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license eligibility
BLS required within 90 days of hire
ACLS required within one year of hire for Critical Care/IMCU areas
Experience
Registered Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
