Construction Equipment OperatorThe Construction Equipment Operator position is responsible for the following:Operating heavy equipment to lift, move, or place equipment or materialsDriving equipment and vehicles (including tri-axle dump trucks) between sitesPerforming basic duties associated with operating heavy equipment and vehiclesResponsibilities and Duties:Operate various construction machines and vehicles: Bulldozers, Crawlers, Skid Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, Tri-Axle Dump Trucks, Work Vans, etc. in a safe and appropriate mannerConduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessaryFollow all safety procedures while operating equipmentPerform general construction and maintenance duties including, but not limited to, framing, finishing, underground utilities, final gradings, storm water management, sewer systems, pipe and shovel work, snow removal, etcRequirements:Education and Experience:High School diploma or GEDRelevant experience preferred with operating heavy equipmentFamiliarity with residential and commercial construction practicesValid Class A Commercial Driver's LicenseEmployment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testingCompetencies:CommunicationTechnical and mechanical skillsCapable of working independentlyAvailable Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package401(k) and profit sharingPaid holidays & vacation/sick timeSupervisory Responsibility:NoneWork Environment:This job operates in the field and is mostly outdoorsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
