Job description
C.R. England is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated Target account based out of West Jefferson, Ohio. Drivers run a mix of shuttles, full loads, and store deliveries using pre-loaded tri-temp and dual-temp refrigerated trailers.
Hiring Area
Hiring across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Chicago, Illinois candidates within approximately a 50-mile radius are also eligible.
Account is based in West Jefferson, OH, with shuttle activity in Whitestown, IN and Demotte, IN.
Compensation
Average weekly pay: $1,864; average annualized pay: $96,934.
Top weekly pay: $2,507; top annualized pay: $130,371.
Mileage pay, stop pay, and detention pay.
Schedule and Home Time
Home 2-3 days per week with a 34-hour reset.
24/7 operation with variable shift times and no set days off.
Current operating hours are approximately 9:00 PM through noon, seven days per week.
Overnight driving is required.
Job Responsibilities
Run shuttles, full loads, and deliveries for the dedicated Target account.
All loads are pre-loaded on tri-temp or dual-temp refrigerated trailers.
Most stores unload the freight while the driver observes.
Inner-city stores may require the driver to use a lift gate and pallet jack.
All loads originate and finish in West Jefferson, OH.
Delivery Area
Deliveries include downtown Chicago and surrounding Chicago suburbs.
Shuttle points include Whitestown, IN and Demotte, IN.
Equipment
Top-of-the-line automatic-transmission trucks.
28-foot and 53-foot trailers.
Trucks may be parked at a safe and secure location.
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL.
Minimum 3 months of CDL-A driving experience.
Must be comfortable with overnight schedules, variable shifts, and occasional lift-gate/pallet-jack work.
