Job description
R. J. Corman Railroad Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Nicholasville, KY.
Responsibilities:
Travel extensively in a rotating schedule for adequate work-life balance (typically 8 days on, 6 days off).
Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
Perform digging, hammering, and other physical types of work with various tools.
Operate heavy or specialized equipment (i.e., Tripp Mach, Mark IV Tamper, TKO, Regulator, M320, Trackhoe, Dozer, Crane, etc.).
Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used.
Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience: Valid CDL-A with no restrictions, manual endorsement, and DOT medical card required.
Experience operating heavy or specialized equipment.
Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements: Lifting 100 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
Perform digging, hammering, and other physical types of work with various tools.
Environmental Conditions: Travel extensively on a rotating schedule.
Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
Love working outside!
