CDL-A Food Grade Tank Driver – $88K + Home Daily | Clear Lake, IA
Join a dedicated liquid egg operation based in Clear Lake, IA. Earn an average of $88,000 per year , enjoy primarily home-daily routes, and operate late-model equipment with no-touch, drop-and-hook freight.

Pay Details
$88,000 Average Annual Pay
Average Weekly Pay: $1,700
$0.67 per mile
$10 per drop & hook
Friday–Tuesday schedule: additional $0.03 CPM
Layover: 10-hour break paid when an overnight layover occurs

Job Details
Dedicated food grade tank / liquid egg freight
Primarily local operation with frequent home time
No-touch freight
All loads are drop and hook
Late-model Freightliner tractors
Tank endorsement required
Trucks are fully repaired and road-ready before dispatch
Shift Details
Primarily home daily
Start times between 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
Usually home every night
Occasional layovers may occurAvailable schedules: Tuesday–Saturday
Sunday–Thursday
Thursday–Monday
Friday–Tuesday
Flexibility required for varying schedules and start times
Job Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Tank endorsement required
Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
Must be at least 22 years old
No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years , subject to restrictions
No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
Active FMCSA Clearinghouse profile
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for job-related communication and documentation
Clean driving record
DOT Medical Card
No SAP drivers
