Hudd Transportation is seeking CDL-A Independent Contractors with their own authority -- Intermodal freight
Newark, NJ | Home Daily | Own Authority Required
Up to $364K Annual Earning Potential
HUDD Transportation is looking for experienced CDL-A Owner Operators and small fleet owners with their own authority for steady port and intermodal freight out of Newark, NJ.
Run consistent local and regional freight, earn strong weekly revenue, and get home daily.
What You Can Expect
Up to $364K Annual Earning Potential
Home daily
Approximately 20–25 moves per week
Pay typically ranges from $300–$1,000 per move, depending on lane
Mostly local NJ freight with select PA and MD runs
Detention pay available
Additional ad hoc freight opportunities

The Work
You’ll handle intermodal container moves in and out of the Newark port market, including:
Local NJ port and customer moves
Regional PA and MD freight
Port pickups and deliveries
Additional freight as available
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Own tractor and active operating authority
Valid TWIC and SeaLink cards
Valid Medical Card
Port/intermodal experience
Reliable tractor 2014 or newer
Required insurance coverage
$1M Trucker Liability reflected on FMCSA
$30,000 Non-Trailer coverage
