Van Truckload Driver Instructor
Home time: Daily
Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience
Job responsibilitiesCoach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
Teach driving skills that align with Schneider’s guidelines and materials.
Show drivers how to use Schneider’s electronic tablets and workflow system.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.
Pay and bonus potentialCompetitive starting annual salary.
$7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
Salaried pay.
Bi-monthly paychecks.
Annual profit-sharing bonuses.
Paid time off and paid vacation available immediately after starting.

Skills qualificationsPrevious instructor or training experience preferred.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.
Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider’s company policies and procedures.
Driver qualificationsValid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
DOT physical card.
Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
Live within 50 miles of Green Bay, WI.
