CDL-A Semi-Local Tire Driver – Good Pay | Home Most Weeks
nEarn $110,000 average annual gross pay delivering tires throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Enjoy strong CPM and stop-pay opportunities, assigned equipment, and approximately two nights out per week.
nPay Details
nnAverage Weekly Pay: $2,150
nLocal loads: $0.70 CPM, up to $0.78 CPM with tenure
nRegional loads: $0.66 CPM, up to $0.74 CPM with tenure
nCanadian loads: $0.78 CPM, up to $0.86 CPM with tenure
nLocal: $25 drop/hook | $30 live stop
nRegional: $35 drop/hook | $40 live stop
nCanada: $45 drop/hook | $50 live stop
n$60 each time crossing the border
n nJob Details
nnDeliver tires in dry van trailers to warehouses and retail locations
nRoutes throughout OR, WA, ID, MT, and Canada
nCanadian routes include Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Acheson, and British Columbia
nDriver unloads by unstacking, rolling, and throwing tires at most U.S. stops
nAverage approximately 400 tires per day , with 50–100 tires per stop
nTire weights range from 30–200+ lbs. , averaging approximately 50 lbs.
nCanadian customers unload approximately 75% of loads; driver assists with the remaining 25%
nCount and secure freight after unloading
nPick up returns and backhauls, including loading returns
nDrop/hook stops are minimal
n nShift Details
nnWork 5 days with 2 consecutive days off
nFloater schedule; flexibility to work any 5 days required
nAverage start around 6:00 AM
nFlexible start times may be required
n12–14 hour shifts
nApproximately 2 nights out per week
n6th day available if desired
n nJob Requirements
nnValid Class A CDL
nMinimum 3 months of truck driving experience
nClean driving record
nValid DOT Medical Card
nMust be eligible to enter Canada
nPassport allowing Canadian entry required within 90 days; cost reimbursed
nAbility to repeatedly handle tires weighing 30–200+ lbs.
nWillingness to chain as weather requires
nStrong customer service skills
nNo SAP drivers
n nEquipment & PPE
nnAutomatic sleeper trucks
nAssigned trucks
nTrucks remain at the account during time off
nGloves and safety vest provided
nRequired PPE must be worn
nSupport other local accounts as needed
