We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.HDR is hiring a CEI Inspection Aide to work as a member of our Florida CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) program at project sites in Crystal River and Tampa, FL. Our CEI team primarily works independently on FDOT projects consisting of milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation. They interact on a daily basis with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel. This is a terrific opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in inspection with upward mobility and long-term employment with a fast-growing program and employee-owned company.ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Construction Inspector Aide, we'll count on you to:Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelinesMonitor, record and inspect progress on construction projectsCoordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testingReceive supervision from the Construction Inspectors who reviews work while in progressPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsTechnical school or Associate degreeSome demonstrated experience in construction inspectionAbility to interpret construction schedulesLocal candidates preferredRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentExperience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
