Job description
Metric Engineering is seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector/Senior Engineer Intern to support our Fort Myers team. This role performs advanced field inspection, surveying, construction layout, and verification of engineering computations while providing leadership to junior inspectors. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator. \*\*SIGNING BONUS\*\*

*Minimum Education Requirements*
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* *Senior Engineer Intern* classification requires an *EI Certificate*
*Experience Requirements*
*Candidates with a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management:*
* Minimum *1 year* of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
*Candidates without a qualifying degree:*
* Minimum *4 years* of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
*Required Certifications*
* CTQP Final Estimates Level I
* CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
* CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
* CTQP Asphalt Roadway Levels I & II
* CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Levels I & II
* CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
* CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
* IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
* Nuclear Radiation Safety
* Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Certification (Inspectors & Contractors)
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying, construction layout, and verification of engineering computations
* Inspect roadway and bridge construction activities and conduct field tests
* Coordinate, mentor, and oversee lower-level inspectors
* Document construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications
* Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
* Work independently under the general supervision of the Project Administrator

Pay: $78,000.00 - $87,360.00 per year
