The Programmer will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced manufacturing solutions for gas turbine components using state-of-the-art CNC equipment and software tools.The Programmer will also be responsible for:Creating and optimizing NC programs using Siemens NX for complex machining operations on mill-turn machines, 2-axis lathes, and other CNC lathes and mills as requiredValidating NC programs virtually through machine simulationPerforming on-machine program validation and optimizationDeveloping comprehensive manufacturing processes including process plannings, gaging strategies and selection, tooling solutions, and fixture designMaintaining and updating post processors and machine simulation models utilizing Siemens NX softwareCollaborating with design engineers to enhance part designs for manufacturabilitySupporting production operations and assisting with capital equipment procurementParticipating in equipment installation, runoff and production startup activitiesOther job related duties as requiredQualifications:High School Diploma or GED5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment developing NC programs3 years of NC programming experience using CAM softwareProficiency in 3D CAD software and demonstrated understanding of CAD principles and GD&TPrevious hands on experience machining is a plusExperience creating process related work instruction documentationFundamental understanding of machining work holding strategy, cutting tool selection, and gaging selectionIntermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software toolsU.S. Citizenship is requiredAbility to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches). Capable of pushing or pulling 60 pounds. Grip strength of at least 50 pounds. Ability to reach above shoulder height (65 inches)Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
