Full-time Centerless GrinderWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Centerless Grinder to join our cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in set-up, automatic operations, and have a strong background in aerospace manufacturing processes. This position plays a crucial role in producing high-precision components for advanced aerospace systems and contributes to our company's mission of pushing the boundaries of innovation in the aerospace industry.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain centerless grinding machines to produce high-precision aerospace componentsSet up and adjust grinding machines for various operations, including through-feed, in-feed, and end-feed grindingProgram and operate CNC-controlled centerless grinders for automated production runsInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine grinding specifications and tolerancesSelect appropriate grinding wheels, regulating wheels, and work rests based on material properties and desired finishPerform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gaugesTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to grinding operations, machine performance, and product qualityConduct regular maintenance on grinding equipment, including wheel dressing, coolant management, and general upkeepCollaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to optimize grinding processes and improve product qualityAdhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environmentTrain and mentor junior operators on centerless grinding techniques and best practicesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the grinding processMaintain accurate records of production data, machine settings, and quality control measurementsStay updated on the latest advancements in centerless grinding technology and aerospace manufacturing techniquesQualifications and RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification in machining or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in centerless grinding, with a focus on aerospace applicationsProficiency in setting up and operating both manual and CNC-controlled centerless grinding machinesIn-depth knowledge of grinding wheel selection, dressing techniques, and coolant managementStrong understanding of aerospace materials, including various alloys, composites, and exotic metalsAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specificationsExperience with precision measuring instruments and quality control proceduresFamiliarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork abilities
