Allstate Security provides reliable, qualified, professional officers who are trained and ready to respond to potential security threats and provide outstanding support and service.Job DetailsPosition Summary: The Security Officer provides a visible, professional, and courteous security presence within a busy retail environment. The primary objectives are to deter theft and disruptive behavior through professional conduct and customer engagement, maintain a safe environment for employees and customers, and promptly report incidents, irregularities, and suspected shoplifting.Pay Rate: $23.00/hrPosition Type: Full-TimeLocation: 4300 S Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90011Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Deterrence:Greet and engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.Maintain an active and visible security presence throughout designated areas.Assist store staff and customers as needed while maintaining professional boundaries.Deter and document suspected shoplifting using a professional, customer-service-focused approach.Represent the company and client professionally at all times.Patrol & Monitoring:Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols, including storefronts, sidewalks, and parking areas.Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations.Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.Incident Response & Reporting:Immediately report criminal activity or emergencies to management and local authorities as directed.Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports.Cooperate with emergency responders and provide factual information when required.Loss Prevention Support:Immediately report observed theft or concealment of merchandise to store management.Officers are not permitted to detain, touch, pursue, or physically confront suspected shoplifters.Maintain professionalism and avoid unnecessary confrontation at all times.Professional Standards:Arrive on time, in full uniform, with all required equipment.Maintain professional grooming and appearance.No unnecessary personal cell-phone use while on duty.Maintain professionalism and avoid discriminatory or profiling behavior.Follow all company, client, and state policies and procedures.Qualifications:Active California BSIS Guard Card required.Retail security or loss prevention experience preferred.Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Work Environment:This position operates in a high-traffic retail environment requiring frequent interaction with customers and store management.
