Job description

Job TitleCoordinates and evaluates staffing coverage across a large number of hospital units and staff to ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care in a 24/7 clinical environment.Schedule: 32hrs/week Wednesday 7a-7p (12hrs), Thursdays 7a-7p (12hrs), Fridays are a 2:1 rotation (8hrs) (Friday 1 - 11a-7p, Friday 2 - 11a-7p, Friday 3 - 7a-3p). No Weekends.Essential FunctionsEnsures appropriate staffing coverage across assigned hospital units by managing, updating, and adjusting schedules in real-time.Addresses emergent staffing issues, process call-offs, and collaborates with leadership to resolve acute staffing challenges.Maintains and monitors accurate staffing records. Collects, reviews, and presents staffing metrics and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.Disseminates timely and accurate staffing updates and emergency closure notifications to relevant units and other stakeholders.Assists with scheduling for credentialing and other compliance-related purposes.Ensures the availability of necessary manuals, equipment, and supplies to support staffing operations.Education RequirementHigh School Diploma or equivalent, required.SkillsEffective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required in interactions with internal and external contacts.Ability to work under controlled time constraints.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under minimal supervision.Proficiency with MS Office, timekeeping applications, and general computer skills.Working knowledge of staffing policies.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.ExperienceStaffing and scheduling experience, preferred.Experience in healthcare setting, preferred.Physical RequirementsOCCASIONALLY: Cold Temperatures, Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required, Hot Temperatures, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 41-60 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 61-100 lbs, Loud Noises, Peripheral vision, Power Tools, Pushing / Pulling: 100 lbs or greater with assistance, Pushing / Pulling: 41-60 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 61-100 lbs, Working at Heights, Working OutdoorsFREQUENTLY: Color vision, Decision Making, Depth perception, Electricity, Flexing/extending of neck, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Problem solving, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 26-40 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Seeing – Far/near, Standing, WalkingCONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Computer skills, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Repetitive hand/arm use, SittingThe above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
