Sargeant Reynolds Community CollegeLocation: Richmond (City) - 760FLSA: ExemptHiring Range: Salary commensurate with the education and experience of the applicant. Hiring range is $63,000- $85,000.Full Time or Part Time: Full TimeAdditional DetailReynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse, culturally competent staff at all levels of the organization who reflect the demographics of our students. We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population. This is a full-time nine-month teaching faculty-ranked appointment.Central Sterile Processing Faculty member is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, laboratory education, clinical coordination, student advising, and program support for the Central Sterile Processing Program. The faculty member teaches didactic, laboratory, hybrid, and clinical courses; coordinates clinical learning experiences; maintains relationships with healthcare partners; supports program assessment and continuous quality improvement; and promotes student success, credential attainment, and workforce readiness.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDCertified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST); or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).Minimum of five years of recent experience in sterile processing, central service, surgical services, or a related healthcare setting.Demonstrated expertise in decontamination, sterilization, instrumentation, infection prevention, and quality assurance processes.Experience serving as a preceptor, educator, trainer, supervisor, or clinical instructor.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Additional Considerations:Associate degree or higher preferredTeaching, precepting, staff development, or clinical education experienceExperience with clinical coordination and student advisingExperience with accreditation and outcomes assessmentDemonstrated ability to teach effectively in both didactic and clinical settings, including course development, student assessment, course evaluations and advising.Education to include principles of teaching and learning.Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional responsibilities (multimedia, flipped classroom teaching strategies, and test construction).Each agency within the Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated to recruiting, supporting, and maintaining a competent and diverse work force.
