Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.Join our team in a 12-bed OR unit, located on the 1st floor, where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of RNs, CSTs and FAs. You will play a crucial role in assisting our patients in general surgery, bariatrics surgery, orthopedic and urological procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.How you'll contribute:A Central Sterile Tech who excels in this role:Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need.Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.Shift: 11a-7p or 12p-8p mid shift. On call required rotation.What we're looking for:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferredLicense: Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hireCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
